A while back I did a big purge of my closet and realized that I have a LOT of jeans. They all fit, but they are all the same, just different washes. Mostly skinny jeans with a few boyfriend styles mixed in here and there. I basically wanted to get rid of half of them, but that would have been such a waste. So instead of throwing away or donating perfectly fine jeans, I decided to give a few of them a little old school DIY makeover for spring and summer. Continue reading
This past weekend I was in a total DIY mood so I decided to see what I had in my apartment that could use a makeover. I had some gold spray paint leftover after a craft session with my team at work. Yep, you read that right. Sometimes we craft and drink wine after hours. It’s great!
Anyone else ready for Spring yet? I definitely am. The weather is usually pretty good in San Francisco this time of year, but yet so confusing! One day I think spring is coming full force and then the next day, I am back in my chunky sweater and wool scarf shivering!? Then again, I shouldn’t complain. It’s usually above freezing and sunny.
I am still working on my kitchen “remodel” and got super excited when I saw that Minted just released their Spring collection and is having a spring sale this week! Use the promo code HAPPYSPRING for 15% off, but hurry up, because it’s only good until Monday 3/16.
Back to the most exciting part! My first giveaway! I am so excited to say that I have teamed up with Minted to give away a $50 Minted Gift Card to one of you guys! Just enter the giveaway in Rafflecopter at the end of the post before the end of Friday 3/20 and you’re in it to win it!

Have you ever done laundry and had the “uh oh” moment? Yep, so have I. More than once in fact! It’s usually something that’s not supposed to go in the dryer and somehow it ended up there anyways. I finally found a method to unshrink clothing and it actually works!Shirt from H&M
How to unshrink clothes
- Fill up a bucket/bowl of lukewarm water. Make sure it’s not too hot.
- Add in 1 tbls of soft hair conditioner. I usually use this one, but I am sure any kind of soft conditioner would work.
- Soak the piece of clothing for 30 minutes and gently stretch the piece of clothing back to its original shape. Hand wash to rinse out the conditioner and lay flat to dry.
And it’s as good as new! :) This has worked every time I try it! The conditioner relaxes the fibers of the clothing and makes it soft so it’s easy to stretch back into shape.
I hope you liked the tip!

Over the last few
weeks months I have been trying to remodel my kitchen as much as you possibly can do while renting, which basically means new furniture and decorations. I’ll do a full update once it’s done, but so far I have most of the new furniture down and the “only” thing missing is decorations. We have a wall over the kitchen table thats just a big white canvas. Not really being able to decide what to do with it, I think a feature wall full of frames is just what it needs.
Have you ever heard of Minted? I have been seeing so much cute stuff from them and I knew they did stationary, holiday cards and all that fun stuff, but I had no idea they had a marketplace full of art?! There are so many great designs and its all created by users through their design challenge! Pretty cool if you ask me. So if you have a hidden design talent, you should submit your designs and if your work wins, they’ll sell it! Check out the design challenge here.
Anyways, I knew this was just the place to find some cool designs to put up on my kitchen wall and add some pops of color. I actually ended up perusing the site for a couple of hours looking through endless options of cute designs and finally narrowed it down to these 10 favorites! I’d love to hear what you think?
